Safety Lead- Chain of Responsibility

The role: 

A focal role in our HSE Team, you will provide oversight of heavy vehicle chain of responsibility management across our businesses by developing, implementing and maintaining management systems.

Your every day: 

  • Design, implement and deliver chain of responsibility systems across our businesses to meet or exceed regulatory standards
  • Support individual Symal entities to create bespoke practices relevant to their operations, based on the organisation-wide framework
  • Work with stakeholders to support the successful implementation of their chain of responsibility requirements
  • Establish and maintain a governance framework that monitors the overall performance of COR 
  • Work closely with learning content creators to develop training modules on your area of expertise

Who are you? 

  • You may bring previous experience from work environments such as transport and logistics, quarrying, extraction, defence force and/or construction
  • Deep understanding of the heavy vehicle industry, including comprehensive knowledge of the NHVR
  • A proven ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups to achieve outcomes
  • Experience in the defence sector will be highly regarded
  • Hold a valid driver's license and any relevant industry licences / competencies (i.e. Construction industry induction card )
  • Familiarity with MT data and advanced experience in MS Suite
