The role
Supported by the broader Corporate Services team, you’ll play a key role in delivering people initiatives and leading the HR function across our growing Unyte business.
Based in Eight Mile Plains, QLD, this role supports operations across both Queensland and New South Wales, providing end to end HR support including Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, and the full employee lifecycle.
This is a hands on, rewarding, high impact role that offers the opportunity to tackle complex challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
As a culture ambassador, you'll help steer our expanding business through new markets and growth opportunities, shaping a strong and connected organisational culture along the way.
Your duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Provide high level advice, coaching and support on a broad range of complex ER / IR challenges and practices, offering solutions in line with the business’s priorities and in accordance with relevant government policy, legislation, EA and industrial instruments.
- Act as a point of escalation and resolution for HR related queries, challenges and requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage employee related investigations and serve as the primary point of contact for all internal stakeholders throughout the process.
- Development and delivery of project HR services that align with business needs.
- Support the development of HR strategies, focusing on continuous improvement in line with business retention and development plans.
- Lead workforce planning, succession, and talent initiatives aligned to business strategy.
- Act as a trusted advisor on performance and conduct.
Who are you?
- Extensive HR experience: Over 5 years as an HR Business Partner in complex, operational environments, particularly with blue-collar workforces.
- Specialist in IR / ER: Deep expertise in Industrial and Employee Relations across sectors like construction, mining, transport, and heavy industries.
- Legislative knowledge: Strong understanding of Australian employment law, including NES, Modern Awards, and EBAs.
- Strategic and generalist HR: Proven ability to deliver both strategic HR initiatives and hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle.
- Change and stakeholder management: Skilled in leading organisational change, influencing senior stakeholders, and navigating ambiguity.
- Strong interpersonal skills: Known for a collaborative, consultative approach with excellent coaching, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
