The role:
This Electrical Supervisor/Superintendent will play a pivotal role in the Electrical and Renewable offering division of Searo and (Symal Group).
Your impact:
You will drive electrical solutions and support the projects delivery team for key Searo projects, including high voltage systems and renewable energy initiatives such as wind and solar farms.
Your every day:
- Supervise the site managers for daily construction activities across various sites to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of works.
- Coordinate civil, electrical, and mechanical construction timelines and ensure they are maintained, if delays are found these need to be coordinated with the Project manager in a timely manner.
- Enforce HSEQ standards and reporting is maintained, holding the site managers and foremen to account for reporting.
- Conduct site audits to ensure site managers and subcontractors are maintaining their requirements for items such as SWMS reviews, Site weekly walks, task observations, daily prestarts etc.
- Oversee quality assurance procedures including inspections, ITPs, and defect management
- Support client and site meetings to provide daily or weekly progress updates
- Ensure site managers maintain daily site diaries, including weather, site activities, and delays
- Track material deliveries, equipment usage, and resourcing on site
- Help the site managers submit incident reports, NCRs, and information for any progress claims support as needed
Who are you:
- Experience with implementing HSEQ systems onsite and ensuring compliance with all internal and external personnel onsite.
- Clear communication skills to be able to coordinate site works with various stakeholders.
- Solid background in renewable energy, ideally solar farm commissioning
- Trade-qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer
- Strong knowledge of relevant electrical legislation and Australian standards
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on commissioning experience in Generation Projects
- Have strong experience in a Senior Electrical Supervisor role and wanting to take the next step
- Competence in PV testing, inspection, and performance assessment
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and I&C equipment
