The role: 

Reporting to the Senior Estimator, you’ll be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of projects, including labour, plant, assets, and overhead, to ensure profitability while remaining competitive in the market. Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating project specifications, performing cost analysis, and preparing detailed estimates for bid documentation
  • Collaborating with the project management, procurement, and operations teams during the tender process
  • Preparing BOQ’s and verify them
  • Managing the quantity take-off process
  • Preparing RFI’s

 

Who are you? 

With previous experience either as an Estimator or site-based civil engineering professional, you’re ready for a varied portfolio of work within a company that truly supports career development. You’ll come to us with:

  • Previous experience on projects within subdivisions, rail, TMR works or civil structures, either in a delivery or estimating capacity
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, material costs, labour rates, and industry standards
  • Ability to analyse and interpret specifications, and technical documents
  • Some experience working within tenders and bid process would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with Expert Estimation and Bluebeam would be highly regarded, but full training will be provided for the right person
