The role: 

Symal Contractors keep going from strength to strength. Our team is expanding, and we have a full workbook just in time for 2025.

Due to this far exceeded growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager based in Melbourne.

To be considered for this role, you must possess robust self-perform experience working across and delivering civil packages either as a principal or subcontractor. You will have worked alongside Tier 1 and 2 commercial builders in delivering these civil scopes.

Your impact: 

Your addition will enable our teams to deliver projects successfully. Ensuring that the program is on time, on budget and delivered with zero harm achieved.

Your every day: 

• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental management. Lead continual improvement of a high performing safety culture within the delivery team.
• Manage the overall delivery of the project in accordance with internal processes.
• Manage execution of engineering, procurement and construction activities.
• Review progress against plans, contractual arrangements and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates.
• Leading and managing teams of construction professionals including mentoring, training and performance management.

Who are you? 

• Experience delivering self-perform, principal or subcontract civil packages across major commercial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• A proven track record in delivering infrastructure projects and leading teams with a successful outcome regarding the above KRAs.
• Be able to effectively communicate in meetings with consultants, clients, management & on-site personnel.
• A proven record and understanding of HSE/QA compliance.
