The role: 

Unyte have been active in QLD for just over a year now. After hitting the ground running, we are looking to grow our safety team up north. This HSEQ Advisor position will lay the foundation for our QLD team as we make inroads into new sectors.

As we also work regionally, a degree of flexibility is needed to be considered for this role. Some of our projects will be FIFO / DIDO from our HQ in Eight Mile Plaines.

Your impact: 

Your contribution to our wider HSEQ team will enable Unyte to make zero harm the norm, ensuring our project sites are mitigating risks and providing a safe environment for our own as well as the neighboring environment & stakeholders. 

Your every day: 

  • Providing HSEQ advice and support to the project team.
  • Conducting HSEQ audits, inspections, investigations and training/awareness sessions.
  • Upholding and communicating HSEQ standards and implementing strategies to improve HSEQ performance.
  • Assisting with the implementation of the HSEQ Management System and maintaining HSEQ registers.
  • Liaising and providing support to the project to ensure compliance with relevant HSEQ laws, regulations, company policies and guidelines.
  • Understanding and enforcing client specific safety standards and policies.

Who are you? 

  • 4+ years' experience within a similar capacity across civil, construction, mining and/or energy.
  • Certification: Relevant qualifications and certifications in HSEQ.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of appropriate Australian Safety legislation, standards and codes.
  • Demonstrated ability in advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work on regional projects as required.
