The Project – Gawara Baya Wind Farm
We are delivering the Gawara Baya Wind Farm, located approximately 2.5 hours from Townsville.
This landmark renewable energy project will generate 400MW of clean power across 68 wind turbines, with a total contract value of $347M. It’s a significant civil construction package offering exposure to major bulk earthworks and infrastructure delivery at scale.

The role
As a Site Engineer, you will support the successful delivery of civil works across the project. Working closely with the Project Manager and site team, you’ll help drive safe, efficient, and commercially sound project outcomes.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3-week look-ahead programs aligned with the construction schedule
- Coordinate plant, labour, and materials to support efficient delivery
- Assist with procurement, purchase orders, subcontractor management, and variations
- Support cost tracking, productivity reporting, and progress claims
- Lead site safety and quality activities including toolbox talks, audits, ITPs, and NCR management
About you
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ Australian civil construction experience
- Strong interest or experience in site-based civil delivery
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong understanding of SWMS, risk management, and site compliance
- Confident communicator who builds strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and site teams
