Senior Environment & Sustainability Advisor

FIFO Wind Farm Project | Northern Queensland | 30% FIFO Uplift

Symal Infrastructure is delivering major civil infrastructure works for a landmark wind farm project in Northern Queensland and we are seeking an experienced Senior Environment & Sustainability Advisor to join our project team.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in driving environmental excellence, sustainability outcomes and compliance across a large-scale renewable energy construction project. You will work closely with project teams, clients and stakeholders to implement best-practice environmental management systems and ensure project success.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and management of Environmental & Sustainability Management Systems, including EMPs, SMPs, audits and compliance requirements across the project.
  • Provide expert environmental advice, conduct site inspections, manage environmental risks, investigations and incident responses while driving continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, subcontractors and project teams, supporting sustainability initiatives and mentoring internal teams.

 

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Earth Sciences, Natural Resource Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience within construction, major infrastructure, renewables, civil or resource projects.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals, audits and environmental management systems.
  • White Card and current driver’s licence required.
  • Sustainability accreditations (ISCA) and Lead Auditor qualifications are highly regarded.
