Project Manager – Structures | FIFO Wind Farm Project | 2/1 Roster | 30% FIFO Uplift 

Lead the successful delivery of major structural works on a landmark renewable energy project with a leading civil infrastructure contractor. 

 

About the Role 

  • Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of structural works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in line with contractual requirements. 
  • You will provide leadership across engineering, supervision, subcontractors, and project teams while managing key project deliverables including program, cost control, procurement, client relationships, quality assurance, and risk management. 
  • This role will suit a Project Manager with strong experience delivering major civil infrastructure or structural construction projects, with the ability to lead teams in a remote FIFO environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage the delivery of structural works including planning, programming, resourcing, subcontractor coordination, and construction execution. 
  • Lead project teams including Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors to achieve project milestones. 
  • Drive commercial outcomes through effective cost control, contract administration, procurement management, variations, claims, and risk mitigation. 
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure project expectations are exceeded. 
  • Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership, compliance, audits, and proactive risk management. 
  • Ensure quality systems, inspections, testing, and documentation requirements are implemented across the project. 
  • Manage project reporting, forecasting, productivity tracking, and performance against key milestones. 

About You 

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering complex civil infrastructure or structural construction projects. 
  • Experience managing projects valued at $10M+ with a strong understanding of construction methodologies and delivery requirements. 
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing multidisciplinary project teams. 
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen including contract administration, forecasting, variations, and claims management. 
  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent. 
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts including AS4000, AS2124, or similar. 
  • Experience working on remote/FIFO projects within challenging environments will be highly regarded.
