Project Administrator – Townsville Office | Gawara Baya Wind Farm
Play a key role in delivering one of Queensland’s largest renewable energy projects the 400MW Gawara Baya Wind Farm. Based in our Townsville office, you’ll be the central coordination point supporting a fast-paced civil construction team delivering critical infrastructure including 68 wind turbine foundations, access roads, drainage, and supporting works.
Symal Infrastructure is delivering the major civil works package for this landmark project located approximately 2.5 hours from Townsville, but this is office based in Townville.
We’re seeking an experienced and proactive Project Administrator to support project delivery through high-quality coordination, documentation, and commercial administration.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll provide essential administrative and coordination support across the Townsville office and wider project team.
You will:
- Provide end-to-end administrative support to project leadership and delivery teams
- Manage purchase orders, invoices, cost tracking, and project documentation
- Coordinate onboarding, inductions, training records, and compliance requirements
- Maintain registers, reporting systems, and document control processes
- Support timesheets, project reporting, and data accuracy across systems
- Organise meetings, travel, accommodation, and project logistics when required
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to keep workflows moving
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- 2+ years’ experience in a Project Administrator / Site Administrator / Construction Administrator role
- Experience within civil construction, infrastructure, mining, or resources environments
- Strong understanding of project administration, compliance, and cost support functions
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Outlook essential)
- Experience with Jobpac, Pronto, JDE or similar project systems (highly regarded)
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- A proactive, detail-focused and team-oriented approach
