Plant Coordinator | Major Earthworks Project | FIFO 2/1 Roster | 30% FIFO Uplift

Coordinate a large fleet of civil plant and equipment on a landmark earthworks project.

We are seeking an experienced Plant Coordinator to join a major civil infrastructure project, ensuring plant and equipment are safely mobilised, maintained and available to keep project delivery running efficiently.

Working closely with project teams, supervisors and the plant department, you will coordinate the day-to-day allocation, servicing and compliance of a diverse fleet supporting large-scale earthworks operations.

About the Role

As the Plant Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate the mobilisation and allocation of plant and equipment across the project
  • Liaise with site teams, supervisors and subcontractors to ensure plant availability
  • Schedule servicing, maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime
  • Monitor plant utilisation and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Maintain accurate plant records, inspections and compliance documentation
  • Coordinate breakdown responses and work with maintenance providers
  • Manage plant inductions, registrations and statutory compliance
  • Assist with procurement and hire of additional equipment when required
  • Work closely with logistics and project teams to support construction activities
  • Ensure all plant operates in accordance with safety and environmental requirements

 

 

About You

You will bring:

  • Experience coordinating heavy civil or construction plant and equipment
  • Knowledge of earthmoving equipment including excavators, dozers, graders, rollers, loaders and articulated dump trucks
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Sound computer skills and experience using plant management or maintenance systems
  • Understanding of WHS requirements relating to plant and equipment
  • Experience within major civil infrastructure, mining or earthworks projects highly regarded
