GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT
Wind Farm Project | FIFO 2/1 Roster | 30% FIFO Uplift

About the Role

  • Reporting to the Construction Management team, the Superintendent will be responsible for the overall coordination and delivery of site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations.
  • Provide leadership across site operations, subcontractor management, safety, quality, program delivery and team development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily site operations across a major renewable energy project
  • Drive project delivery in accordance with program, budget, safety, and quality requirements
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site resources to achieve project milestones
  • Monitor productivity, performance, and progress against project targets
  • Develop and implement three-week lookahead programs and resource planning
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure project expectations are achieved
  • Lead safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and site inspections
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and project management systems
  • Manage quality assurance processes including ITPs, defects, and non-conformance close-outs
  • Mentor and develop Leading Hands, Supervisors, and site teams

 

About You

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent delivering complex civil construction projects
  • Approximately 7+ years’ experience in the construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience leading large project teams and subcontractors
  • Experience delivering projects valued at over $5M
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and project delivery processes
  • Strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams
  • Experience developing and mentoring site personnel
  • Strong knowledge of relevant construction legislation, EBAs and industry requirements
