The role
As part of a dedicated and diverse Design Management team, reporting to the Engineering Manager - Infrastructure, you'll lead design management activities across a range of major infrastructure projects.
Working closely with consultants, engineers, project teams, clients and key stakeholders, you'll drive the delivery of compliant, commercially sound and innovative design solutions that support successful project outcomes. You'll ensure design programmes remain on track, risks are effectively managed, and all technical, contractual and approval requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Our projects include large-scale roads, renewables, precinct developments and other major civil infrastructure projects across Australia.
Your everyday

Lead design management activities across multiple infrastructure and renewable projects from tender phase through to construction and delivery.

Manage and coordinate consultants, designers, authorities and project stakeholders to achieve programme milestones and project objectives.

Drive value engineering, innovation and risk mitigation throughout the design process.

Ensure compliance with project contracts, Australian Standards, authority requirements and client specifications.

Monitor design budgets, schedules, approvals and deliverables to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Develop work winning strategies during tender phase.
Who are you?
-
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Extensive experience delivering complex civil infrastructure, renewable, transport, rail or major construction projects.

Proven ability to manage design consultants, stakeholders, approvals and multidisciplinary design teams.

Strong commercial acumen with experience managing consultant agreements and design delivery outcomes.

An effective communicator with strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
