The role:
In this newly created role, the Performance & Reward Lead supports the design, delivery and governance of performance and remuneration frameworks across Symal Group and its businesses.
This includes remuneration frameworks, annual remuneration review, job architecture, performance planning and review cycle, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and reward analytics.
The role also provides specialist support for Executive remuneration—specifically coordinating inputs, data, modelling and documentation for the CPO and Company Secretary for Nomination and Remuneration Committee and ASX reporting purposes.
Your everyday:
- Reporting directly to the CPO, your responsibilities will include:
- Accountability for the performance planning and review cycle cadence and timelines, and leading modelling, benchmarking and timeline for the annual REM Review.
- Supporting goal-setting frameworks, calibration design and performance differentiation.
- Provide analytics, insights and reporting on remuneration review recommendations and outcomes.
- Establish and maintain a contemporary and market competitive Remuneration Framework to drive organizational and individual performance, and to support engagement and retention.
- Develop and maintain role architecture framework including job families, levels, and standardised role profiles, including a contemporary and market competitive REM framework to drive organisational and individual performance.
- Support design, refinements, invitation and scorecard administration, and eligibility/ participation maintenance for the Short-Term Incentive Plans (STIs).
- Produce inputs for Nomination and Remuneration Committee papers as requested by the CPO and Company Secretary.
- Adhere to ASX corporate governance expectations for remuneration data accuracy and controls.
- Maintain audit-ready processes and participate in internal/external audits as required.
Who are you?
- Experience at Manager or Lead level in remuneration, performance management, or reward frameworks with a complex or multi-business organisation.
- Strong understanding of job architecture, including job families, levels, role profiling and remuneration benchmarking.
- Proven capability managing annual remuneration review cycles, including modelling, benchmarking and governance.
- Skilled in analysing remuneration and performance data to generate insights, recommendations and executive‑ready reporting.
- Familiarity with ASX corporate governance expectations, remuneration reporting requirements and audit‑ready processes.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare high‑quality inputs for Executive and Board‑level papers, ideally for Nomination & Remuneration Committees.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery in a newly created role.
- Collaborative working style with the ability to partner across HR, Finance, and business leaders.
- Confident communicator who can influence senior stakeholders, including Executives and the CPO.
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of how reward and performance systems influence behaviour, engagement and retention.
- Discreet and trustworthy, with a strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism.
