Project Manager – Structures | Major Renewable Energy Project | FIFO 15/6
Lead the delivery of complex structural works on one of Australia's largest renewable energy infrastructure projects.
Symal Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Structures to lead the successful delivery of major structural packages on a landmark wind farm project in North Queensland.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of large-scale bridge, concrete and structural construction works while managing high-performing project teams in a fast-paced, safety-first environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of structural works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage subcontractors, maintain strong client relationships and drive commercial outcomes across a significant civil infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of structural construction packages including bridges, retaining structures, concrete works and associated infrastructure.
- Develop and manage project programmes, budgets and resource plans.
- Lead site teams to achieve safety, quality, environmental and production objectives.
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, performance and contract administration.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts and commercial performance.
- Identify and manage project risks while implementing practical solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards and statutory requirements.
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Supervisors.
- Drive a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
About You
You are a proven leader with extensive experience delivering large-scale civil and structural infrastructure projects.
You will bring:
- Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience managing major structural or bridge construction projects.
- Strong commercial and contractual management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership of large site-based construction teams.
- Excellent planning, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Australian construction standards and safety legislation.
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts while maintaining programme and budget.
