The role: 

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to and take a leadership role in the development, maintenance, and implementation of our HSEQ management system across Victoria. You’ll be a vital part of our team, ensuring that both workers and management are well-informed and equipped with the knowledge to adhere to our HSEQ system, industry best practices, and legislative compliance requirements. Your expertise will play a key role in shaping a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment across all our projects.

Your impact:
 

Educating and influencing our employees and subcontractors on industry best practice and safety will just be the beginning. The Senior HSEQ Advisor role is a key leadership role that will have the ability to impact safety outcomes at all levels of the business unit. Your contribution will help us reduce risks and create a safe environment on our project sites, you'll be directly supporting the well-being of our team, the surrounding community, and all of our stakeholders.

Your every day: 

  • Providing HSE leadership, advice and support to the project team
  • Leading and conducting HSE governance activities, such as, audits, inspections, investigations and training/awareness sessions
  • Upholding and communicating HSE standards and implementing strategies to improve HSE performance
  • Leading the implementation of the HSE Management System and associated continuous improvements
  • Liaising and providing support to the project to ensure compliance with relevant HSE laws, regulations, company policies and guidelines
  • Understanding and enforcing client specific safety standards and policies

Who are you? 

  • 5+ years’ relevant civil construction experience
  • Minimum Cert IV in WHS
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of appropriate Australian Safety legislation, standards and codes.
  • Demonstrated ability in advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Construction Industry Induction Card
  • Current Drivers Licence
