The role

As a Watercart / Sweeper Operator, you’ll play a key role in supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality site operations. Working across civil and construction projects, you will be responsible for dust suppression, road cleaning, and general site support to maintain safe working conditions for crews and the surrounding environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in their equipment, and wants to be part of a high-performing team on dynamic construction sites.

Your everyday

• Operate watercarts and sweepers to support dust suppression and site cleanliness
• Maintain haul roads, access tracks, and work areas to ensure safe site conditions
• Coordinate with site supervisors and plant operators to prioritise tasks
• Conduct pre-start checks, basic maintenance, and ensure equipment is well looked after
• Assist with general labouring or site duties when required
• Follow safety procedures, attend pre-starts, toolbox talks, and site inductions
• Work collaboratively with the team to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

Who are you?

• Experience operating watercarts, sweepers, or similar mobile plant (preferred)
• Relevant licences and tickets (HR licence highly regarded)
• Strong safety mindset and understanding of site protocols
• Reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in their work
• Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Willingness to support the broader team as needed
