The role
As a Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in driving project performance, managing programmes, supporting commercial outcomes, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. You’ll work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver projects from start to finish.
This position requires flexibility and a commitment to working across regional VIC and NSW, including time spent on-site away from home.
Your everyday:
- Plan, monitor and update project programs, forecasts, and reporting
- Coordinate procurement, plant, materials, and site resources
- Track productivity, programme performance, and key project milestones
- Support progress claims, variations, and cost tracking
- Build strong client relationships and attend site meetings
- Drive safety outcomes through risk management, audits, and site presence
- Oversee quality assurance processes, including ITPs, NCRs, and documentation
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure smooth project delivery
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
- Work across multiple project sites in VIC and NSW, including regional locations
Who are you?
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer in civil construction
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, specifications, and QA processes
- Ability to manage programmes, procurement, and site coordination
- Sound commercial awareness with experience in cost tracking and reporting
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach
- Current driver’s licence
- Willingness and ability to work regionally across VIC and NSW is essential
