Make it yours
Experience the excitement of building your Project Engineering career in our evolving construction company where people and performance make amazing things happen
Who we are
We're Unyte, a team of problem solvers that have seen it all and conquered the lot, delivering construction projects across the country as a principal contractor and supporting partner.
With a history stretching back decades, we focus on tailored solutions and reliable delivery in complex project environments, with one of the nation’s largest fleet of plant and operators.
Backed by the resources of Symal, a national construction group, we’re breaking new ground with limitless capability.
The role
Step into a role where your engineering expertise genuinely shapes project outcomes. As a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering civil construction projects from the ground up, driving programme performance, supporting commercial outcomes, and leading quality and safety on site.
This is a regionally focused role, requiring flexibility to work across regional project locations. If you enjoy being hands-on, solving problems in real time, and seeing projects come to life on site, this is an opportunity to step up and make a real impact.
Your everyday:
- Plan, monitor and update project programs, forecasts and weekly reporting
- Ensure procurement, plant, materials and site resources are organised and project-ready
- Track productivity, cost performance and critical activities to support strong commercial outcomes
- Prepare and support progress claims, variations, cost-to-complete and contract compliance
- Build and manage client relationships, attend site meetings and deliver clear reporting
- Drive a strong safety culture through audits, risk management, pre-starts and high-risk activity oversight
- Oversee quality assurance including ITPs, NCRs, dilapidation reports and method statements
- Coordinate closely with site teams, supervisors and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
- Work across regional project sites as required, including extended periods away from home
Who are you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- 5+ years’ experience in civil construction
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, specifications and quality systems
- Proven ability to manage programs, forecasting, procurement and site coordination
- Strong commercial acumen with confidence in cost tracking and reporting
- Ability to lead, mentor and influence teams (particularly at Senior level)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Jobpac or Expert Estimation (preferred but not essential)
- Current driver’s licence
- Willingness and ability to work in regional locations is essential
