The role:

Unyte is seeking an experienced Truck / Float Driver to support our civil construction projects by safely and efficiently transporting materials, equipment and machinery to and from site.

This is a hands-on role suited to a professional driver who takes pride in vehicle presentation, safety compliance and working collaboratively with site teams. You’ll play a key role in keeping projects moving while upholding the highest standards of road safety, fatigue management and site compliance.

Your everyday:

  • Operate company vehicles (tippers, flatbeds, water carts and floats) safely and efficiently
  • Transport materials, plant and equipment to and from project sites
  • Ensure all loads comply with mass, dimension and load restraint requirements
  • Complete daily pre-start checks and report defects promptly
  • Comply with road rules, HVNL, Chain of Responsibility and company safety procedures
  • Apply fatigue management practices in line with NHVR requirements
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, presentation and professionalism at all times
  • Support site and yard operations, including loading/unloading, labouring and team coordination

Who are you?

  • Valid HR / HC / MC licence relevant to the vehicle operated
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Minimum 2 years’ heavy vehicle driving experience in a civil or construction environment
  • Strong understanding of road transport legislation, NHVR compliance and CoR obligations
  • Ability to complete required paperwork accurately (run sheets, dockets, timesheets)
  • Reliable, safety-focused and professional approach to work
  • Willingness to assist with manual and site-based tasks when required
  • Additional tickets desirable (BFM, load restraint/mass management, First Aid)
