The role:

Step into a role where your engineering foundations are built on real site experience. As a Site Engineer, you’ll support the delivery of civil construction projects on the ground — working closely with Project Engineers and Supervisors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This is a regionally focused role, requiring flexibility to work across project locations. If you enjoy being hands-on, solving problems in real time, and learning how projects come together on site, this is an opportunity to grow your career and make an impact.

Your everyday:

  • Support the delivery of daily site activities, ensuring works are completed to planAssist with short-term planning, lookaheads and program updates
  • Coordinate plant, materials and subcontractors to keep works running smoothlyMaintain accurate site records, including daily diaries and productivity tracking
  • Support cost tracking, quantities and basic forecasting activitiesAssist with quality assurance including ITPs, inspections and documentation
  • Contribute to a strong safety culture through pre-starts, risk identification and site inspectionsWork closely with Supervisors and Project Engineers to solve on-site challenges
  • Build relationships with subcontractors and site teams
  • Work across regional project sites as required, including periods away from home

Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar1–4 years’ experience in civil construction (or relevant practical exposure)
  • Strong understanding of construction fundamentals and site-based delivery
  • Willingness to learn project planning, cost tracking and quality processes
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within site teams
  • High attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Eagerness to build a long-term career in construction
  • Experience with systems like Jobpac (advantageous but not essential)
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Willingness and ability to work in regional locations is essential
