Operations & Transport Coordinator
Job Description
Brand:  Unyte
Job Location:  Brendale Site
Posting Start Date:  11/09/2026
Job Search Category:  Administration and Support

We’re looking for a highly organised, capable and systems minded Operations & Transport Coordinator to join our team.

This is a varied, hands on role that sits at the centre of our day to day operations. You’ll coordinate transport requirements and allocations, manage administrative processes, work closely with subcontractors and drivers, and partner with teams across the business to keep things running smoothly.

We’re looking for someone who is astute, technically savvy and naturally curious — someone who can manage competing priorities, pick up new systems quickly, spot inefficiencies and look for smarter, more efficient ways of working.

You may come from transport or logistics, but you could equally have a background in project administration, operations coordination, scheduling, logistics administration or another fast-paced administrative environment.

What you'll be doing

You’ll work closely with the Operations Lead and Area Manager, following operational procedures while supporting the smooth and efficient running of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating daily transport requirements, truck and driver allocations, schedules and subcontractors
  • Supporting drivers, workshop teams, clients and internal stakeholders with changing operational requirements
  • Managing operational administration including dockets, records, reporting and documentation
  • Providing weighbridge support and assisting with the accurate flow of operational information
  • Working across broader internal teams to coordinate information, resolve issues and keep priorities moving
  • Following established procedures while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
  • Assisting with software implementation, system improvements and the adoption of new technology
  • Helping reduce double-handling, improve information flow and find smarter ways of working
  • Supporting the Operations Lead and Area Manager with day-to-day operational and administrative requirements
  • Building knowledge across different areas of the business through cross-skilling and learning new processes

What we're looking for

You’ll be someone who:

  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Professional, personable and approachable, with strong relationship-building skills
  • High level of discretion, confidentiality and professionalism
  • Confident communicator across all levels, including drivers, subcontractors and internal teams
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems and processes
  • Practical problem solver who looks for smarter, more efficient ways of working
  • Able to work independently while being a strong team partner
  • Reliable, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Takes ownership, shows initiative and is willing to learn, cross-skill and grow across the business

Full-time, in-office role

This is a full-time, office-based position. Being present within the operation is important to the role, as you'll work closely with drivers, subcontractors, operational teams, the Operations Lead Support and Area Manager.

Rotating weekly roster:

  • Week 1: 5:00am – 1:00pm
  • Week 2: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Occasional Saturday operational support from home on a rotating basis

Why this role?

This is an opportunity to become a key part of the operation and have an impact beyond your immediate responsibilities.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn different areas of the business, work alongside experienced operational leaders, contribute to systems and process improvements, and help shape better and smarter ways of working.

Previous experience in transport allocation, logistics, scheduling, fleet coordination or subcontractor management would be advantageous.

Knowledge of CoR, NHVR requirements and fatigue management is also beneficial.

Can demonstrate strong organisational, administrative, systems and problem-solving capabilities.

A great attitude, strong systems capability and a genuine desire to improve how things work

If you're organised, technically capable, commercially astute and enjoy solving problems — and you want a role where your initiative and ideas are valued — we'd like to hear from you.
