Make it yours

We’re looking for a Maintenance & Reliability Manager who wants to lead high-performing teams and drive fleet uptime across major civil projects.

Who we are

We're Unyte, a team of problem solvers that have seen it all and conquered the lot, delivering construction projects across the country as a principal contractor and supporting partner.

With a history stretching back decades, we focus on tailored solutions and reliable delivery in complex project environments, with one of the nation’s largest fleet of plant and operators.

Backed by the resources of Symal, a national construction group, we’re breaking new ground with limitless capability.

The role:

We’re looking for a Maintenance Manager who wants to do more than manage equipment — we want someone who is passionate about building strong teams, creating a high-performance culture, and driving operational excellence.

This role sits at the centre of Unyte’s operations, leading the performance, reliability, and lifecycle management of our plant and assets across Queensland. You will take ownership of our workshops, maintenance teams, systems, and processes, ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support project delivery.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of the maintenance function — bringing people together, improving systems, and building a culture where teams take pride in their work and the equipment they operate.

Your everyday:

  • Lead and grow a high-performing maintenance team in a culture built on accountability, safety, and pride.
  • Drive fleet reliability and performance, minimising downtime and maximising asset life.
  • Oversee workshops, maintenance scheduling, and repairs while managing suppliers and contractors.
  • Champion continuous improvement, systems, and processes to keep operations running at peak efficiency.
  • Own budgets, forecasting, and strategic oversight, supporting projects with reliable, safe, and compliant equipment.

Who are you?

  • 10+ years’ experience in senior maintenance, fleet, or asset management roles.
  • Strong background in heavy plant, civil equipment, or large fleet environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate workshop and maintenance teams.
  • Deep knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and asset lifecycle planning.
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Experience with CMMS / ERP maintenance systems and asset tracking tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across operations, projects, and leadership.
  • Mechanical trade or engineering background (preferred).
  • Flexibility to travel regionally and interstate when required.
