The role:

Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor, the HR Advisor will partner with stakeholders and employees of our Unyte business nationally, to deliver HR solutions that align with the business values and objectives,

You will support workforce planning, employee relations, performance management and ensuring compliance with industrial instruments and legislations all while fostering a positive workplace culture.

This role is based in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane.

Your everyday:

  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation
  • Support managers in resolving employee relations issues, including performance management, grievances, disciplinary matters, and redundancies.
  • Conduct investigations and provide recommendations in line with legislative and company requirements.
  • Ensure HR practices are compliant with industrial instruments, employment law, and internal policies.
  • Support managers in implementing the annual performance review process and continuous performance management practices.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports on HR, ER, and IR matters to support management decision-making and risk management.
  • Prepare monthly HR and GM reports, including workforce metrics and compliance updates.

Who are you?

  • More than 3 year’s experience as a HR Advisor, preferably within civil construction, rail, infrastructure, mining or major projects
  • More than 5 years’ experience working in a broad HR generalist role
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, awards, enterprise agreements, and HR best practices
  • Experience managing white and blue collar employee relations, disciplinary matters, and performance management
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Exposure to HR analytics, reporting, and workforce planning
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and advise at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
  • Professional, approachable, and solutions focused with strong ethical standards of handling confidential information with discretion
  • Able to work autonomously and confident to support local and interstate needs
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to work effectively under pressure in an ever-changing environment
  • Able to travel to and work from Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane
