The role:
As a HSEQ Coordinator, you will support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Unyte’s HSEQ Management System across active construction projects. You’ll work closely with site teams, subcontractors, clients, and the broader HSEQ team to promote safe work practices, ensure compliance, and respond effectively to incidents.
This is a highly visible role that blends site presence, investigation, auditing, training, and stakeholder engagement.
Your everyday:
- Support the implementation and maintenance of Unyte’s integrated HSEQ management system.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and support accreditation and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate HSEQ registers, databases, and monthly performance reporting.
- Support incident response, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Maintain incident reporting systems and issue HSEQ alerts to share learnings.
- Maintain a visible site presence, supporting safe work practices and high-risk activities.
- Build strong relationships with client HSEQ teams and participate in audits and forums.
- Educate, coach, and support project teams to strengthen safety culture and compliance.
Who are you?
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum).
- 1–3 years’ experience in a construction or civil HSEQ role.
- Construction Industry White Card and current Driver’s Licence.
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and construction site requirements.
- High attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence engaging with site teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage competing deadlines.
- A genuine interest in learning, development, and continuous improvement.
