Make it yours

Experience the excitement of building your Project Management career in our evolving construction company where people and performance make amazing things happen.

Who we are

We're Unyte, a team of problem solvers that have seen it all and conquered the lot, delivering construction projects across the country as a principal contractor and supporting partner.

With a history stretching back decades, we focus on tailored solutions and reliable delivery in complex project environments, with one of the nation’s largest fleet of plant and operators.

Backed by the resources of Symal, a national construction group, we’re breaking new ground with limitless capability.

The role:

Lead the delivery of a major renewable energy project and play a pivotal role in shaping its success. As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for driving project performance across safety, programme, commercial outcomes, quality, and stakeholder management, ensuring works are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.

This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the potential for extension, supporting the delivery of a large-scale wind farm project in regional South Australia. You'll work closely with clients, subcontractors, and delivery teams, providing leadership on-site while navigating the challenges and rewards of a complex infrastructure environment.

Based on project site, this role requires flexibility to work in a regional location and a willingness to be actively involved in day-to-day operations. If you're an experienced construction leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, managing project risks, and delivering successful outcomes on major infrastructure projects, this is an opportunity to contribute to Australia's renewable energy future while advancing your career.

Your everyday:

  • Prepare and submit competitive tender proposals, including quantity take-offs, estimates, methodologies, staging plans, programmes, and risk assessments.
  • Review contract and tender documentation to identify scope requirements, commercial risks, opportunities, and compliance obligations.
  • Engage with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and construction teams to develop cost-effective and innovative delivery solutions.
  • Manage tender processes from initial pricing through to tender reviews, submissions, negotiations, and project handovers.
  • Coordinate plant, equipment, and personnel resources to support project delivery while minimising downtime and maintaining productivity.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project programmes, procurement schedules, and short-term look-ahead plans to ensure successful delivery.
  • Drive commercial outcomes through effective procurement, subcontractor management, budget control, productivity monitoring, and monthly claim preparation.
  • Lead quality assurance activities, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), non-conformance management, document control, and compliance reporting.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring risk assessments, SWMS, environmental controls, and HSEQ requirements are effectively implemented and maintained.
  • Identify project risks, opportunities, and potential delivery challenges early, implementing proactive solutions to minimise delays, cost overruns, and rework while maximising project performance and profitability.
  • Work across regional project sites as required, including extended periods away from home

Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing civil construction projects
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
  • Relevant experience in estimating projects greater than $5 million
  • Construction licence – White Card / Red Card etc
  • Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Strong experience in project scheduling, budgeting, and resource management
  • Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
  • Proficient in identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
  • Familiar with project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency in complex situations.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to work in regional locations is essential
