The role:
Searo is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team for a 3-month contract opportunity. Working closely with project leadership and site teams, you'll help drive a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with HSEQ systems, processes, and legislative requirements across site operations.
This role is ideal for a proactive safety professional who enjoys being on-site, engaging with crews, and making a genuine impact on project outcomes.
Your everyday:
- Provide day-to-day HSEQ support to site operations
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and assurance activities
- Facilitate incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
- Support risk assessments, SWMS reviews, and pre-start activities
- Coach and mentor supervisors and project teams on HSEQ best practice
- Monitor compliance with legislative, client, and company requirements
- Assist with project reporting, safety performance metrics, and documentation
- Promote a proactive and positive safety culture across the project
Who are you?
- Previous experience in a HSEQ Advisor role within construction, civil, infrastructure, renewables, or related industries
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and risk management principles
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to influence positive safety behaviours across diverse teams
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum)
- Current White Card and driver's licence
