Experience the excitement of building your Quality Management career in an evolving construction company where people and performance make amazing things happen.

Who we are

We're Searo, a self-performing, multi-disciplinary electrical contractor, delivering smart, dynamic solutions across renewable energy and infrastructure. We’re designing high-performance energy systems that revolutionise how businesses and communities think about power.

Partnering with Symal, a national construction group, we’re redefining energy, together.

The role:

As Quality Manager, you will lead the quality function across the project, ensuring systems, processes, and controls are in place to deliver works that meet contract requirements, industry standards, and Searo’s expectations.

You will drive quality outcomes from planning through to completion, providing technical guidance to project teams, proactively managing quality risks, and ensuring compliance across all stages of delivery. This role is instrumental in embedding a strong quality culture on site, supporting project teams, and ensuring works are delivered right the first time.

You will take ownership of quality assurance processes including audits, inspections, non-conformance management, and reporting, while working closely with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients to achieve successful project outcomes.

Your everyday:

  • Lead and embed a strong quality culture across project teams, providing guidance and mentoring on quality systems and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with contract specifications, ISO 9001 standards, and client requirements through effective quality assurance processes
  • Develop, implement, and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation, and risk registers
  • Lead internal and external audits, monitor quality performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, and ensure timely close-out of quality lots, inspections, and project deliverables
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure quality objectives and project outcomes are achieved

Who are you?

  • Extensive experience in quality management within energy, construction or engineering
  • Experience managing quality systems, audits, NCRs, and compliance reporting
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and embed quality culture on projects
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or related discipline (preferred)
  • Lead Auditor certification highly regarded
  • Experience using quality systems such as TeamBinder or similar
