The Role

As Project Director, you will be responsible for leading the construction and delivery of energy projects, overseeing all project managers, site teams, commercial controls and delivery systems. You will drive operational excellence, ensure contract compliance, manage risk, and provide high-level governance across Searo’s project portfolio. 

Your everyday

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting and overall delivery across renewable and electrical projects.
  • Oversee construction activities, subcontractors, procurement, cash flow, and commercial governance across all live projects.
  • Monitor performance, risks and opportunities, resolving contractual issues and supporting teams to achieve commercial targets.
  • Ensure safety, quality and compliance through regular site inspections, strong safety culture and improved QA processes (ITPs/ITCs).
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, manage key stakeholder engagement and support repeat business opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor and develop project teams while driving continuous improvement, system enhancements and operational excellence.

Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or similar
  • Extensive experience delivering construction projects (energy or renewables preferred)
  • Strong understanding of electrical and renewable energy systems, materials and methodologies
  • Proven leadership experience managing project managers, site teams and subcontractors
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost forecasting, contract management and claims
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and operate confidently in high-pressure environments
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, cost reporting, Jobpac)
