Make it yours
Experience the excitement of building your Electrical Site Manager career in an evolving construction company where people and performance make amazing things happen.
Who we are
We’re Searo, a self-performing, multi-disciplinary electrical contractor, delivering smart, dynamic solutions across renewable energy and infrastructure. We’re designing high-performance energy systems that revolutionise how businesses and communities think about power.
Partnering with Symal, a national construction group, we’re redefining energy, together.
The role:
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to lead safe, high-quality delivery across complex electrical scopes in South QLD (preferred) or NSW. You’ll take ownership of site execution—program, people, subcontractors, safety and quality—across works such as large switchboard changeovers (including staged shutdowns and temporary power), underground cable installations, testing and commissioning, and PV (solar) installs.
Your everyday:
- Lead site delivery of major electrical works, including switchboard changeovers, staged shutdown planning, temporary power arrangements, risk mitigation, and commissioning to relevant AS/NZS standards.
- Plan and supervise underground cable installations (tray/conduit, pit & duct, excavation supervision, hauling/pulling, terminations, jointing, testing), coordinating resources and subcontractors to hit milestones.
- Drive strong site management systems—SWMS, risk assessments, toolbox talks, site audits, ITP preparation/review, and contractor management—ensuring safe, consistent execution.
- Own day-to-day program performance: implement and track two-week lookaheads, coordinate bookings and suppliers, monitor productivity, and keep the team aligned to targets.
- Build trusted working relationships with clients, consultants, engineers and other trades—managing site-based communication (including shutdown coordination) and keeping stakeholders informed on progress and constraints.
Who are you?
- Proven site leadership experience on complex electrical projects—ideally across commercial, industrial, infrastructure or renewables environments.
- Demonstrated capability delivering switchboard changeovers, shutdown planning, temporary power, testing/commissioning and load management systems.
- Strong technical delivery across underground cabling (installation through to test results) and the ability to interpret drawings, schematics and single-line diagrams.
- Excellent WHS mindset and documentation discipline—confident leading SWMS/ITPs, audits, contractor compliance and safe site culture.
- Required tickets/licences: Current Electrical Licence (QLD/NSW as applicable), White Card, CPR/LVR, Driver’s Licence, plus willingness to travel as required.
