We are now seeking experienced and reliable Drainage Pipe Layers to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a range of civil construction projects, focusing on the installation, alignment, and testing of underground drainage systems.  

Your everyday:  

• Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture across site. Deliver all works in compliance with McFadyen’s safety systems.  Assist in the development of SWMS’s. 

• Interpret site plans, drawings, and specifications related to underground services 

• Lay and align pipes (PVC, concrete, HDPE, etc.) to specification, ensuring correct grade and alignment. 

• Assemble and connect pipe fittings and joints using appropriate methods (e.g., rubber rings, solvents, welding) 

• Install and compact pipe bedding and surrounds using appropriate materials and techniques. 

• Working around earthmoving and construction equipment safely including installing and working in shoring boxes 

• Conduct visual and mechanical testing of installed pipework (e.g., pressure testing, air testing). 

What you'll bring: 

• Positive attitude, good communication skills and ability to communicate with others 

• Previous experience (min 3-years) in a full-time pipe laying role on civil drainage/pipeline projects 

• Competency in reading drawings, laser setup, using dumpy and staff to shoot levels and working in shoring boxes  

• Proven attention to detail, and confidence working with minimum tolerances. 

• All relevant tickets and licenses including white card and drivers license
