The role:

As a Labourer will Locale, you will join a skilled civil construction team working on underground network projects throughout Greater Melbourne. Your on-site contributions will directly support safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes, with all work carried out in accordance with VEDN standards.

Your everyday:

• Assist with trenching, cable hauling, bedding, and reinstatement activities in compliance with VEDN standards
• Review job packs and understand scope of works, SWMS, and safety requirements before commencing tasks
• Complete excavation permits and follow Locale’s HSEQ framework, including pre-start checks and risk assessments
• Maintain safe working practices around live electrical assets, including correct PPE use and adherence to exclusion zones
• Support Crew Leads with site setup, housekeeping, and compliance documentation

Who are you?

• Full VESI accreditation
• Experience in civil construction and underground works
• Strong knowledge of VEDN technical standards and asset protection
• Ability to interpret job packs and SWMS accurately
• Valid driver's licence
