The role:

Step into a dynamic leadership role as an Area Manager, where you’ll be the first point of contact for our high-performing site teams delivering underground civil works across the Greater Melbourne area. In this hands-on position, you’ll play a critical role in supporting daily operations. Assisting with scheduling, overseeing yard coordination, and managing equipment to ensure projects run efficiently and safely.

Your everyday:

  • Resource project teams adequately with sufficient supervisor, labour, and plant resources
  • Ensure adequate guidance is given in the development of project teams. Work with project leads to construct a project organisation chart and establish roles and responsibilities across all construction teams
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all matters that need to be elevated above the project team regarding the site workforce. Develop a relationship with the Client’s Site Superintendent
  • Establish clear program objectives for each project and adequately monitor against it
  • Manage internal resources and supplier subcontractor bookings across the business.

Who are you?

  • Full VESI accreditation
  • Extensive experience in civil construction and crew leadership
  • Strong knowledge of VEDN technical standards and underground civil works
  • Ability to interpret job packs, SWMS, and technical drawings
  • Valid driver’s licence.
