This is an opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer, Project Manager, or Senior Estimator to transition into a high-impact office-based role where your delivery knowledge becomes your biggest advantage.

Based in Eight Mile Plains, this is a genuine Monday–Friday position with no travel, no FIFO, and no site grind — just exciting civil infrastructure projects, strong leadership, and serious career progression within one of Australia’s fastest-growing contractors.

 

The Opportunity

Working within Symal’s growing pre-construction team, you’ll lead the full tender lifecycle on major civil projects typically valued at $20M+.

This role is ideal for someone with strong project delivery experience who understands how projects are built — and now wants to apply that knowledge in a strategic, office-based environment.

You’ll work closely with leadership, operations, and delivery teams to shape winning tenders and influence the future pipeline of work.

 

Your Day-to-Day

• Lead end-to-end tender preparation and submissions

• Develop methodologies, programs, and cost plans

• Assess project risks and identify opportunities

• Drive subcontractor engagement and pricing strategy

• Collaborate with delivery and leadership teams

• Present tenders and attend client discussions

• Mentor junior estimators and support team growth

• Ensure seamless project handovers to operations

 

Who We’re Looking For

We’re open to candidates from both estimating and project delivery backgrounds.

What matters most is your understanding of civil infrastructure projects and your ability to think commercially.
