The role:
As the regional expansion takes place, our newly established team are on the hunt for an experienced civil Estimator to jump on board and be based here in Newcastle. You will form part of a new precontracts team with ambitious yet achievable growth targets and be further supported by a robust Victorian team.
A background in civil infrastructure is mandatory for this role.
Your ongoing success with the team will ensure we are taking advantage of every market opportunity available to us.
- Preparing bids and tenders for various infrastructure projects including bridges, intersections, roads and drainage, earthworks etc.
- Monitor current competitive prices, new techniques and cost trends.
- Develop accurate estimates through first principles pricing of direct and indirect job costs.
- Develop, train and identify improvements to the tendering systems, including facilitating the improvement and upskilling the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years relevant experience in estimating.
- Have a sound understanding of typical construction specifications used in the Australian construction industry.
- Excellent stakeholder management experience.
- Drivers license and own transport.
